Below is a map of time zones in the United States

There is a circumstance where a state that borders the Pacific Ocean
will be in the same time zone as a state that borders the Atlantic Ocean.
In the fall, when we move our clocks back an hour is when it can happen.
Notice that a small piece of Florida is actually in Central Time.  Notice
also that a small piece of Oregon is in Mountain Time.  That means they
are normally only one hour apart.  Time moves from east to west, so
when we set our clocks back, on Sunday morning at 2:00 in Central Time
the clocks are set back to 1:00...which will put Central Time as the same
time as Mountain Time...so a portion of Florida and Oregon will, for one
hour, once a year be in the same time zone!
