Now this idea has promise! - 09/19/2004 3:50 PM
I have an idea that just might work. We have Saddam, why don’t we give the assorted terrorist-scum one week to deliver Osama Bin Laden or Saddam is beheaded on TV. If they deliver OBL, then Saddam can take his chances with the Iraqi justice, perhaps they’ll execute him, perhaps reinstate him. Either way, once we have OBL, each time a terrorist takes a hostage and makes any kind of demand, we demand they release the hostage and turn themselves in, if they don’t, OBL loses a finger, toe or other body part, live on TV. Once we’re out of major body parts, we’ll resort to various other grisly/painful retaliations. Once OBL has pretty much been sliced and diced, we’ll toss him out, then take any number of other captured terrorists and begin again.
Ok, it may not work, but there are a whole lot of Americans and other people around the world who would endorse it. Either way, it is pretty much time that the US adopts some tactics that better match our enemy. A battle ship, carrier and high-tech missiles are ultimately of little concern to these terrorists. It is time to strike at what they do care about. Perhaps we could seize religious cities and mosques around the world, hold them hostage…perhaps then the many Muslims around the world who quietly sit by and allow these terrorists to hide among them will develop a voice. How about forcing bacon or other pork products into the captured terrorists? Something mostly harmless like that could also help rebuild the US economy by providing a boost of sales to a whole new market! We are accused of abusing our power – even when we do not. We are accused of atrocities – even when we do not commit them. While the actual terrorists are few in number by comparison to the rest of the population, they are pretty nasty. These terrorists would be less effective if they were not supported by virtual terrorist organizations like Al Jezeria. Why do we allow this organization to exist? Clearly it is nothing but a mouthpiece for terrorists and hate mongering. It is disinterested in peace or truthful journalism.
Ok, this probably isn’t my best rant, but I must say, I enjoyed writing it
